I really want to be able to do the wifi stuff and whatnot. But the wifi never seems to work in my house. Any ideas why? I also really want to be able to go online with that stuff and trade Pokemon with people. I just don't know what I'm doing. :s

What exactly is wrong? Is it giving you an error whenever you try to connect?

Some Pokemon games have issues with certain security types on WiFis that require a password.

Hmm I'll have to look back at it this afternoon. It's very likely it won't work with my home's WiFi that requires a password.

What type of DS do you use? Do you have a 3DS? The Brick? The Lite? A DSi?

As far as I can remember, the Brick and Lite are very picky on what they want to connect to, while the DSi give a bit more breathing room. The 3DS can connect to almost anywhere and on any form of security, so IMO its the best in terms of the Internet.

I have the Lite. My mom is currently doing lots of work on our router and so I can't really mess with the wifi or anything. I guess I'll just have to wait until we get the wifi sorted out first.

If I remember correctly the Lite and brick can only connect to WEP secure wifi. Any other type of security is not supported by the lite.

I'll ask my mom which security ours is. It might change once she gets the new router set up though.
