I'm faced with a predicament. I want Black Ops 2 and Far Cry 3 but may only have the cash for one. Which do I choose?
Shall I go for Far Cry 3 (arguably the better game) or Black Ops 2 for the MP longevity?

I would say far cry. there are so many good free shooters out there, not to mention people still play the older blops.
It really doesn't matter, Black Friday is in a week, so you can probably get BLOPS 2 on sale, save up a bit for Far Cry 3 then ya got both.
Do I get black Friday in the UK?Originally Posted by UltimateSin
Dude get Farcry 3 it supposed to have a great campaign, hopefully long, and I'm sure there's going to be a great fan base for the multiplayer (it's got that map editor) and its probably going to just be more enjoyable.
BE-YAWNED!!!
If you're unable to take advantage of any black friday deals (check online... retailers usually don't differentiate nationalities online... mostly) then I'd grab Farcry 3. The only exception to this would be if you really really enjoy CoD multiplayer.
Yeah... probably not. If I had to guess it will probably be dead 4 months after release at the latest. I'd still choose Farcry 3 regardless.
Do what I do and get free rentals from Gamestop. Used games can be returned for full value within the first week. Buy a used game and beat it in a week... bring it back... do it again.

I know I can get some Black friday deals if a US company has a Uk outlet like Amazon. But I sometimes worry what region I'll receive. As long as I'd get PAL i'd be fine. I probably will get both, but Farcry 3 first. It looks to be the game I'd feel more satisfied with but I wont be getting my hopes u;p about the MP haha unless it manages to really surprise and match something like CoD or Halo then it's not going to pull enough people. I just hope there's no online only achievements cos I'm an achievement junkie and hate it when a game's online is dead. Never shall I have 1000GS on games like Stranglehold and Singularity![]()
I would suggest saving up your money for something really amazing, but if you can't wait, I would go with Far Cry 3. Not to hold anything against BO2, but I would go for the story over the multiplayer (though BO2 has an interesting branching path when it comes to story). Besides, BO2 will drop fairly quickly after it comes out like most games.
I really feel your pain there. I despise region locking for situations like this (partially the intent of region locking). Makes me really appreciate PC gaming.
The good news is you're entitled as a consumer in the Uk (most places...) to be notified which version you're getting before purchase. If they don't, and you buy, you are guaranteed a return or exchange.
I suppose I can rely on the return and refund if I buy and it does turn out to be the wrong region. It's a bloody nightmare having different regions. Especially considering the varying release dates of games, dvds etc across the world. I should be allowed to get stuff the same time as everywhere else if I order it from then XD and dammet it should work.
Thats true. I have found the proverbial dev/consumer berlin wall.
Haha PS3 is region free![]()

i would go for farcry 3 tbh as call of duty in my opinion has run its course and it seems its just revolving around the online and zombies/ survival, also i heard farcry 3 has great gameplay and storyline thats my opinion, its a late response so you may have already bought one of them if so what did you get?
