Are you or someone you know in the Starcarft 2 beta? As of 11:14 pm Est on February 19th, 2010, a Friday night, I do not have a Starcraft 2 beta key.

So do you have a beta key? Show it off to make me feel worse. Know someone that does? That'll make me feel a bit worse too, so share the info! How do they like it? Have you not heard from them since because they've locked themselves away? Lets hear it!
As far as I know, all you need is the original starcraft.
If you don't have it, I think they're like $20 bucks at any retail store for the battle chest.. Just sign up for battle.net, then enter your starcraft key, you should get a sc2 beta key.
If you didn't know btw, which I'm sure you did. haha
What, this is blasphemy, its not that easy to get a SC2 key! I already have a SC key on battle.net... let me go see.
Update: Yeah, that is not the case. Although I did notice that my specs that I uploaded showed I had XP sp2 and the min. requirements are sp3.. I wonder if that just automatically disqualifies me.
Well half the dudes i play most of my games with didn't get a code either... My cousin got one who doesn't really like SC2 anymore but now that i think about i haven't heard from him since the day he got it.
The process to get into the beta:
1. Have any blizzard game
2. Link it to your Bnet account.
3. Click on the Beta Opt in thing.
4. Meet the Specs requirements. ( Find a real badass computer to test it with, or even a crappy one, cause those aren't official requirements yet i don't think.. so they could be looking for specific rigs, dunno.. only blizzard knows )
5. Wait for your email.

Hrm, I'm not sure, but that's what's required to get the key. (As far as I know/read)
I'm not sure if all people that do have it does get key the key, but I'm pretty sure that's the only way to get one. (Other than paying $200+ on ebay, lol)

Wow.. I thought that was a bit much. Lol I've been looking for a good RTS for a while. Do you think I should buy the original starcraft now? Seeing as the other one is close to release?

Question, can you voice chat on Starcraft without any extra software (Teamspeak, Vent, ect.)

I know it is tough not having a beta key Swift, but here is something to look at to give you an idea of what the beta is like from people who have tried it out. It doesn't compare to playing it yourself, I know, but this is the best we can do for now:

Ive been looking around everywhere for a key can't find onei guess i might have to wait to see if they will open the beta up.
I wonder if Starcraft 2 beta is for mac i know the full game will be but what about the beta

I bought the original Starcraft!
There will be more beta keys sent out in the future. They are being released in waves.
Also, Mac users WILL be included in the beta further into it.
