A Connecticut teen misunderstood her mother’s screams while she was having sex and thought she was being assaulted, so she rounded up a group of friends to attack the woman’s partner.

Police said a 16-year-old Torrington girl, called on four friends June 6 to help her mother when she thought she was being attacked. The teens went into Melanie Arnold’s bedroom and punched and beat her 25-year-old companion, Roger Swanson, with a baseball bat. He was treated at a hospital for a black eye and bruises and released.

Arnold, 34, told the Associated Press that she did not scream, but that her daughter heard a slap and thought she was being attacked.

The girl, two boys and a 19-year-old man, Dilyen Langdeau, were arrested Tuesday and charged yesterday with assault and conspiracy. One of the teens was not charged.

Did you not read the story? They assaulted him as a gang and with a baseball bat becasue they assumed that the girls mom was being attacked. There's other methods of solving this problem this like talking with the mom.

I wonder how much time it took her to rally up her friends?
